SJC houses six academic departments conferring degrees and. Burrell College’s 80,000 square foot newly constructed building is located at the Arrowhead Research Park on the NMSU campus, adjacent to the football stadium. San Juan College is a 2-year community college with four campuses in northwest New Mexico. The College’s students can also utilize NMSU’s housing and meal services, at an additional cost. In a unique public-private partnership, the College’s students have access to many university facilities and services, such as athletics, intramural sports, some health services and recreational facilities. The four-year high school and two-year junior college has been the breeding ground.
Although the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine is a private, investor owned, free-standing, independently operated and licensed college, it is affiliated with New Mexico State University (NMSU) and our students enjoy the student life and campus community benefits that come with a major public research university. Roswell has been the home to New Mexico Military Institute since 1891. The Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine is the only medical college in the United States with a mission addressing healthcare in the Southwestern United States and its border with Northern Mexico.
